Description
When you finish a long rest while wielding this shield, you can choose one damage type: bludgeoning, piercing, or slashing.
While you are wielding this shield, you gain resistance to the chosen damage type, but only if you meet the following formation conditions:
- At least two allies within 10 feet of you are also wielding a shield.
- Every ally within 10 feet who is wielding a shield has a Testudo runestone active and tuned to the same damage type as yours.
If your formation is broken (e.g., your shield-bearing allies move away, drop their shields, or choose different damage resistances), the runestone immediately deactivates until the required formation is restored.
