The Maker-God creates the world his children. The Child-Gods compete in creating the first races, elves, dwarves, halflings, rakshasa, and dragons. The Maker-God creates mortal humans.
Ends with the death and ascension of Ethert, the first mortal and now god of Death.
The Age of Strife | -15,000TSD
Death stages the great wars above and below. He creates the orcs and launches the Orcentide, a vast war of the living and the dead.
The Child-Gods slay the Maker and weave His body into the Weave, birthing mortal magic.
Ends with the defeat of the Orcentide and the shattering of the old empires.
The Age of Withering | -10,000TSD
Mortality spreads and even the immortals begin to age. Civilizations collapse under famine and disease.
Ends with the Exile of the Gods, who withdraw from mortal affairs.
The Historic Epoch
The Age of False Idols | -5,000TSD
Mortal faith shapes the Weave, creating new gods born of belief.
Nations rise from ruin; the Guilds, Priests, and Nobles reform the pillars of civilization.
Ends with the founding of the Mirrandian Senate.

The nations of the world have found their places. Explorers, scholars, and adventurers uncover relics of the lost ages. Technology advances and reaches new heights, though the average man still toils in the earth.

The city of Novigrad was established as a minor logging outpost by the yet-to-be Skull King and his companions. Through canny trade deals, exploitation of the local resources, and the might of arms, Novigrad's dominion of the local polity became certain.
Destruction of the Mirrandian Cathedral | 946TSD
The Little Orcentide | 947TSD
The Little Orcentide was a war fought by the fledgling city of Novigrad just after its founding in 947TSD. A large host of orcs from the Agar Wilds broke through the Darktide Pass and was stymied by the Novigradian defenders. Immortal concepts are said to have been at play as the yet-to-be Skull King battled the forces of Death at his gates while his mortal followers defended the city.
Anton Russ adopts the mantle of the Skull King | 947TSD
Following his success in the Little Orcentide, he claims the divine right to rule and adopts the moniker of the Skull King.
Novigradian Wars of Aggression | 948TSD
After their success in the Little Orcentide, Novigradian powers adopt an expansionist position and begin aggressively pushing their control into the surrounding regions. Due to his limited resources, Anton Russ utilizes undead troops to bolster the conventional Novigradian forces leading many to view him as a dark power.
Reconciliatory Tour of the Skull King | 949TSD
After the Novigradian Wars of Aggression are ceased, Anton Russ tours the continent in an effort to repair fractured relationships with other diplomatic powers.
Integration of Huub into the Novigradian Hegemony | 949TSD
The governor of Huub is formally adopted into House Russ as a token of goodwill, ending Anton Russ' Reconciliatory Tour.
Exile of the Skull King | 951TSD
Anton Russ voluntarily exiles himself as a form of penance for his part in Novigrad's expansionist wars. He appoints a line of stewards to rule in his name until his return.

The Welterpact is a long-standing armistice between the kingdoms of Elion, Vandonia, Jalar, Trisst, and the free peoples of the Leventine Reach. It is governed by the Mirrandian senate and guarantees free trade throughout the Western half of the continent. It is enforced by the Welterine Brotherhood, a knightly order dedicated to upholding peace within the Human lands.
